What do you see # 76- A Roundup

It sits on the shelf as a reminder

A reminder to me to be real good

Good like an angel, even if I can’t be perfect

Perfection is beyond human nature, but not kindness

Kindness to oneself and those around me, is easy

Easy to give joy, easy to share and care

It sits there with a serious look on its face

Reminding me to be good, as good as I can be

What do you see # 75 – Prayer

I am changing my posting schedule for this week as I want to post my own submission at the beginning of the week.

March is woman’s history month and for the last prompt of March, I have again chosen an image of a woman.

♾♾♾

Prayer

Looking up the sky

Wishing on the new moon

She utters a prayer in her heart

She wishes for safety and shelter

She prays for strength and endurance

Closing her eyes she envisions

Her dreams coming true in all their glory

Walking away she feels that her prayers have been answered

What do you see # 74 – A Roundup

♾♾♾

I stand on the verge of a new beginning

Steeling my nerves I venture into the unknown

My hopes and aspirations egging me forward

My fears and apprehensions trying to hold me back

Using my fear as my motivator, I take the first step

And realize instantly that I have won the battle

For the way may hold many challenges, the biggest hurdle was

My mindset that was infusing my enthusiasm with dread

What do You See # 73 – A Roundup

♾♾♾

It has a keen piercing look

As if it can read my thoughts

I see kindness and understanding there

As if it can sympathize with my troubles

As if it’s saying, I am free to fly wherever I please

You are home bound, itching to be free

I was gifted with wings to fly, you with a brain

You’ve shackled your kind more with thoughtless ways

It’s not too late to change your ways, it says

Look after the planet and it will reward you with freedom
