The Cosmos held in my right hand

Time swirling in infinite waves

The end and the beginning joined

One following the other in an endless loop

The secret hides in a tiny drop of wisdom

Dive deep into the depth of cavern of soul

Bathe in the brightness of joy and enlightenment

As she raised her eyelids, I was lost in her beautiful black eyes

The sun had broken through after the cold winter rain

I could feel the warmth of the rainbow colored sunlight

Filtering through the chink in between the curtains

It warmed my heart to hold her close and comfort her

The storm outside had subsided but the tempest

Raging in her heart still had her in its grip

I wished I could gift her all the happiness in the world

And take away her sorrows into my own soul

As winter whispers sweet nothings in the still air

Butterflies flutter in my tummy in anticipation

I dream of cold foggy mornings wrapped in a cozy blanket

Sitting by a roaring fire sipping a hot cocoa

Enjoying the blessings of a roof over my head

A place to find comfort and warmth, away from gelid wind

Shutting my door against the cold of the outside world

I dream dreams of cozy winters!

A short journey

I am a tourist

Came here for a short visit

Will be heading back in no time

My journey on the highway of life

Is not only brief but also unpredictable

I don’t know when I will depart for good

I just wish that I can give finishing touches

To this journey‘s manuscript before the end time calls

To go peacefully into the dark is my dearest wish

I have included the following prompts;

Daily Prompts- Begone

You faitour!

You impostor

I thought you were wonderful

But I found out that you’re just woeful

It was just my wishful thinking that betrayed me

I was unlucky to run into you and thought it karma

That familiar sense of Deja vu was just a warning

I saw friends eye-rolling and thought them jealous

Now I know who you are and our paths are diverging

I won’t touch you with a barge pole no matter who endorsed you

Begone from here

I am glad to be

Rid of you finally

Daily Prompts- Promise

Silent but salient

Point painted prominently

Still, the promise may not be true

Utopia may not be as amazing or beautiful as imagined

Why live in the dreams of wondrous tomorrow

When we can choose to be here and in the now

Tuesday Writing Prompt Challenge: Tuesday, July 28, 2020-

TuesdayWriting

Today’s prompt: Write a piece of prose or poetry around the words cursive, touch, and forget

Cursive writing was once my strong suit

I used to wow my teachers and classmates alike

There may have been spelling mistakes in my submission

But it looked very pretty and delighted the beholder

Now I don’t write that much and have lost touch

With that ability when writing on paper was my forte

But I didn’t forget it completely, and you can still see

If I make a paper list, it still looks pretty
