Today’s Questions to the Readers are….

What are you truly passionate about?

I am passionate about sharing my opinions with like minded people. To talk about philosophy of life. To make sure people follow the law and everyone should be treated with dignity and equality. And I am passionate about blogging too.

Have you ever experienced or suffered from writer’s block?

Not yet. Too many ideas running around my head. But I must give credit to all these wonderful people who give us daily and weekly prompts. Otherwise I may be looking around for ideas to write about.

Are you happy?

I am! Not fairytale, happily ever after sort but a contented and thank God for everything I have been given in life. Also very grateful for my optimistic personality.

Do you ever experience stress?

Hell no! Seriously you need to ask anyone this question and expect a negative reply? We all experience stress and almost daily. How we cope with it is what counts. Don’t let it get to the inner you to do permanent damage. Fend it off from the surface. Treat it as a temporary peskiness.

Have you ever been afraid of the dark?

As a child me and my younger brother used to scare ourselves silly by imagining danger everywhere. Maybe we were too creative with dangers in the dark. As an adult I am okay in dark provided I am not alone.

Have you ever been arrested?

Nopes! And don’t want to be arrested ever. I have had traffic tickets but nothing more than that.

What were your first thoughts this morning when you awoke?

Every day when I wake up my first thoughts are of thankfulness that I am feeling good, free of pain and in possession of all my senses. ( All this is after I take care of urgent business of going to the bathroom)

If you could have witnessed anything around the world in whatever time zone, what would you have loved to have seen first hand?

Recently I watched a very interesting series on Hulu, “How the universe works” it is a fascinating program. I wish that I could witness that moment in time when the universe was born.

Rory is the host of this challenge.

What truly motivates you to write?

I have discovered a love for writing. At least the short blog post length. It could be a Prompt, a picture or an idea. My readers also motivate me to write by reading what I write and sharing their feedback and thoughts on it. There are some topics about which I am passionate and I write about them often.

What’s cluttering up your life today and what are you doing about it?

I came home after three and a half months, that’s around fifteen weeks. A lot has piled up in my absence. Slowly and gradually I am dealing with it.

Did you enjoy a creative childhood?

I did! I would make decorative things with beads, threads and embroidery. I would also knit, stitch, draw and paint. And before dropping off to sleep I would weave stories in my mind.

Have you ever wanted to write a book or if you have written a book do you feel accomplished for doing so?

Maybe in my teen years I did wanted to write ” the book” which would have made me famous. But I am more realistic now. I am happy writing my short blog posts and when people enjoy reading them, it gives me satisfaction and a sense of achievement.

Today’s Questions to the Readers are….

Do you have any friends from your school days and if so how often do you socialise with them?

I have friends from school days, that is one which were with me till high school, and then there are those from med school. I have wonderful friendship with them and though we don’t get together very often as we all live in different parts of the country and a few of them are in other countries. But whenever we get a chance to meet, it’s as if no time has passed since the last time we got together. It’s always a pleasure to meet them.

Do you find it difficult to admit that you are wrong, and why?

Me wrong? Well if it is proved beyond a doubt that I was wrong, I will own up to it! Well jokes aside I am usually the first one to admit when I make a mistake or a wrong judgment call. Because I don’t suffer from an excess of ego.

What was the title of the first movie you watched in a movie theater?

I can’t recall with ease the last movie I watched and you’re asking if I remember the first one that I watched! It is impossible to remember that. But I know the one which left a deep impact on me and that was Ben Hur! I really was impressed with that movie and I guess I was in sixth grade when I saw it. It was a special re-release of the classic movie.

What was the most awkward thing that you’ve done for a friend?

This is going to be a long story! An edited version is posted here;

A few of my friends played a prank and were called to the hostel warden’s office. I had to lie through my teeth to support their false statements. It was both awkward and embarrassing thing I have done for my friends. Later on we had such fun recalling that incident. Luckily they were not required to under go any disciplinary action.

Today’s Questions to the Readers are….

How important is your birth family to you?

When I was younger my father and brothers were very close. Our father would spend time with us every day and we had a special bond. He was fond of reading and movies and we would see movies together. And he would take us to the library for books every week.

After his death, we, I and my brothers aren’t that close anymore but I do try to keep in touch with them all. Apparently it’s a male ego thing that if one of them doesn’t respond to the message or call from the other they won’t make a move to get in touch again unless the errant brother makes the move. I am not a man, so I overlook these codes and do call them off and on.

As to my own family, my husband kids and grand kids, I love them to bits. Nothing more to be said further.

What gets too much attention in the news?

Politics. And I am really sick of politics and politicians. Maybe if we sank them all into the ocean we would be better off.

If you could change 3 things about your country, what would you change?

Every one would have the right to live with dignity, a roof over the heads of all people and educating people about what we are doing to our planet is extremely bad. And that there are no second chances.

What fact amazes you every time you think of it?

Not to sound clichéd, I would say the human race still manages to amaze me. What lovely souls live among us and what amazing talent. If we look, really look we see all sort of fantastic tales of endurance and kindness around us. People are imperfect but ever so often we come across people with such a huge amount of courage that we are held spellbound.

Welcome to The Daily Four!

Today’s Questions to the Readers are….

What was the worst thing you did as a child?

I was quite accident prone ( well! still am) so I had a lot of falls, cuts and accidents on my bike. I still have a few faded scars from those days.

Growing up, what was your ideal dream job and did you bring that to a reality at all?

I always wanted to be a doctor. But life intervened and I left my studies incomplete. I have done four years on med school so I have gained a little medical knowledge which I put to good use by looking after my friends and family.

What were the things you both liked and hated about your schooling?

I loved going to school as it took me out of the stressful environment of my home ( at home things weren’t very congenial due to a war between my elder brother and my step mother) I loved interacting with my friends and was quite good at studies. My Achilles heal was my over sensitive nature and I would get sad or down when my friends ignored me or when our teachers showed favoritism towards others students. And also, my spelling were awful. So that too brought grief!

Where there is a will, there is a way! Do you agree?

Totally. As I mentioned I was over sensitive and would feel depressed by minor upsets in life. Through self coaching and lots of help from my family, I have overcome this problem. And by conquering this flaw in my personality, I also have the added advantage of not suffering from migraine, tension headaches or gastric upsets which were a symptom of my sensitivity. If one recognizes the problem, acknowledges the fact that it can be changed or modified, we can make a very positive and significant change!
