Rory is the host of 12 Bloggerz
Every minute of the day someone is asking a question of someone else …. you know?
12 Bloggerz is a once a month question feature where l will …. ask you questions … 12 of them!
On a scale of 1 – 10 – where 1 is low and 10 is high how happy are you with everything in your life at this moment?
I think I am at an 8-9! Reasonably happy but with occasional road bumps that life throws in my way
Why do you do what you do the way that you do it?
Interpret as you so wish.
I guess it is a matter of habit. As one grows older one becomes fixed in habits as I am. I want to follow my routine and do things my way.
How do you embrace difference?
Difference of opinion is fine with me as long as it is not forced upon me. Difference in how people live is fine too.
What is one of the most significant ways that your readership influences you, your blog and your writing?
I think comments and then what I read on the blogs that I follow or sometimes the new blogs that I discover influence my writing. At times suggestions given by my readers help me make changes to how I blog. As an example, I was reblogging all the posts in response to WDYS. I asked the opinion of my readers and changed it to reblogging the first to responses.
How would you feel if everything you didn’t believe in today turned out to be true – which of your new disbeliefs now truths would affect you the most profoundly?
But also answer this question from the opposite spectrum as in –
How would you feel if everything you believed in today turned out to be false – would this affect you and if so which falsehood that you hold now true would affect you the most profoundly?
In most things about life, our world or scientific discoveries, I keep an open mind. Many times the first part of the question has happened. Somethings we took to be false were proved true. So I roll with new discoveries and evidence.
For the second part, I would believe if something that was proven false, with concrete evidence.
One thing that I implicitly believe and won’t change my mind or views about is my faith. I don’t need anyone to prove or disapprove it to me. It is written on my heart, not to be changed by any new evidence.
How often do you cross your fingers or say touch wood or good luck to people or do you not believe in that sort of thing?
I wish people good luck and also pray for their success not out of superstition but because I believe in the power of prayers. I don’t cross my fingers, except metaphorically.
Do you think that our childhoods impact our lives as adults – what are your views?
Of course it does. Some people carry the good or bad that happened to them in their childhood all their lives while others change it by their way of living. An unhappy child may be change into a happy and well adjusted adult and the reverse can happen too.
There is no truth to horoscopes – yes or no and why to either?
I think think people born under the same star sign can have similar personality traits. There’s no way they have a similar fate or destiny.
Does it really matter if we are environmentally-conscious – l mean is it that important – if not why not and if yes, why??
It does matter as individuals make a society. If each of us is conscious of our responsibility towards the environment, things will start to improve. If we all thought that one person cannot make a difference, things will go downhill rapidly.
Do you find it easy or hard to relax and what relaxes you the most?
I relax easily by listening to music, walking or reading. Blogging also relaxes me as it engages my mind away from anything that is causing stress.
How well or badly do you respond to being ‘shocked’ or ‘surprised’?
I am pretty cool about it. If an unexpected surprise is tossed my way, I adjust to it quite quickly.
How do you feel about the term “I am a lucky/unlucky person” as in – do you think that there is some truth to it or is it all nonsense?
I don’t believe anyone is lucky or unlucky! We all have our share of good and bad things that happen to us. And since I believe in a grand scheme of things, everything, good or bad that happens to us, happens due to a reason.
