To success means that when I go to bed at night, I am happy with what I have accomplished during that day. I have simple ambitions and am easily satisfied.

I don’t have a pet so haven’t had the opportunity to save the life of any pet, mine or anyone’s else.

3.if you have 3 wishes…what it would be?

A happy, healthy family. Success for all my kids and their kids, both in spiritual and material sense and a million dollars to make life easy, haha!

4.sunshine or sunset?

Both. If I am up at sunrise, I do enjoy it tremendously and sunset is always so captivating.

5. Have you’ve did something weird before?

I am always doing weird thing. Saying stuff I shouldn’t or doing things in such a hurry as to do them topsy turvy. As I am clumsy person, I often provide a lot of entertainment to the people near me by doing things in a funny way.

This is a post that I like very much;

Nothing wrong in being an eccentric

My Questions;

What is the best thing about blogging for you?

Who is your role model?

What is one thing that centers you in life?

What is your most popular blog post?

Which cam first, the chicken or the …….. egg? (A weird question)

Thanks a lot Yaasotaa again for the award.

Liebster Award

What is the Liebster Award?

The Liebster Award is an award that exists only on the internet and is given to bloggers by other bloggers. The earliest case of the award goes as far back as 2011.

Liebster in German means sweetest, kindest, nicest, dearest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, and welcome.

The award is a way to be discovered but also to connect and support the blogging community. A great idea in promoting your own blog and others.

For more about the Liebster Award, and the competition Jack runs which goes with the nomination, please visit – The Global Aussie: The Official Rules of the Liebster Award 2019

The (slightly modified) rules:

1 – Thank the person who nominated you, and add a link to their blog.

2 – Add the logo of the award to your post and a link to the creator of this blog award – The Global Aussie: The Official Rules of the Liebster Award 2019

3 – Write a paragraph about what motivates you in life (not just in blogging).

4 – Answer the 5 questions given to you.

5 – Nominate 2 – 6 blogs that you feel would enjoy receiving the award.

6 – Create 5 questions for your nominees.

Thank you for being such inspiring bloggers! Keep on keeping on!

Thanks a lot Ursula for this nomination. Also for giving us very interesting questions to answer.

Ursula’s Questions for her nominees and anyone else who would like to answer them:

1 – If I gave you control of my blog for a day, what would you do with it? Would you change anything about it, such as the theme, the header, my gravatar? Would you rewrite the About page? Add something which you think is missing? Would you write a blog post as An Upturned Soul – if yes, and you were able to say in that post what you can’t say as yourself on your blog, what would you write about?

You have a very unique and interesting blog. I could never dream of altering anything there. As for posting as you? Nopes! I can not pass as even a pale imitation of you and neither would I want to.

2 – If you found out tomorrow that you’d been gifted with immortality as well as agelessness, how would you react, what would you do, and how would that change the experience of living and being for you?

This would not be a gift, but a curse. I always pray for a life with health and company of my family. I would return the gift/ curse with a thank you, but NO thank you.

3 – If you could create a new country with you as its founder, what would be the motto of your country, what would your country be like, what would be the most important elements of life in your country?

This answer is in a light-hearted way;

I would create a country of all the over weight people, who would never be judged on their weight or looks. They would be free to eat whatever they wanted without any judgmental looks being given to them. Our motto will be ; Live and let live!

4 – If you suddenly became famous – what would be the reason for your sudden fame?

I have invented the perfect diet plan which works for EVERYONE and it doesn’t make you go without food.

5 – What is the biggest surprise you’ve had about yourself since you started blogging? What have you discovered through blogging which you didn’t know about yourself before?

That I can actually write stories, poems and other stuff that people like to read! Thanks a lot to all my friends and followers on WordPress! Truly grateful!

My Questions:

Which season describes you the best?

Take a look around where you are now, and tell us which thing near you has the most impact on your daily life?

What do you think is more important in life, knowledge or experience?

Do you think if nobody had invented social media sites, the world would have been a better place?

Tell us about your favorite book?

(If these questions appear familiar to you, the reason is that I am using the same questions that I asked in my Mystery blogger award post)

My nominees;

Though I would love to nominate bloggers for this award, it seems that most people I do nominate don’t want to participate in this game. So my request that anyone who is reading this post and wants to participate please do so. You are nominated. Congratulations!

Solidarity bloggers award

Gifted to me by Rory, A Guy Called Bloke and K9 Doodlepips

SIWO (Success Inspirers’ World) is an International Friends Blogging Forum. The idea is to encourage team work and to blog together as a community. As an international friends blogging forum, Success Inspirer’s World provides an opportunity that every blogger is looking for – the opportunity to get more exposure and find more followers and readers.

Award Guidance:

1. Write a post on your blog thanking the person who gifted you the award.
2. Paste the award in the post.
3. Provide a link to the blog of the person who gifted you.
4. Tell Success Inspirers’ World, SIWO what you think about solidarity blogging. Is it worthwhile?
5. Gift 3 bloggers for the award and inform them.

Thank you so much, Rory AKA A Guy Called Bloke and K9 Doodlepips for choosing my blog for this award. Rory is definitely a community blogger. He always has very interesting challenges and quizzes for us to take part in. If you don’t follow his blog, you should drop by his very remarkable blog.

My views about solidarity blogging;

Blogging in not meant to be a solitary effort. Writing has to be read. So if I am writing a blog, and publishing it, I need people to read it too. This community of bloggers are a remarkable collection of people. They interact with each other, get to know them on a personal level without ever meeting and become like an extended family. The support that is given to new bloggers is also amazing. The seasoned and experienced bloggers showed their support to new entrants by guiding them when asked.

To me, solidarity blogging means that we act as a community. We stand with each other when required. We respect each other’s point of view. And most of all we maintain the support network for our fellow bloggers.

I would like to gift this award to the following bloggers;

Di of Pensitivity 101

Nova of My Namesté Online 365

The bag lady

I hope that you guys will accept this and pay it forward. If for some reason, you cannot do so there is no problem.

Sunshine Bloggers Award # 9

I am honored to receive a nomination from Kristian, of Tales from the mind Kristian for another Sunshine Blogger Award. I am excited and grateful for this award. Thanks a lot Kristian. You can check his award post here. You must pay his blog a visit. He is an exceptional blogger.

The Rules

  1. Thank the person who nominated you and provide a link back to their blog so others can find them. ✔️
  2. Answer the 11 questions asked by the blogger who nominated you.✔️
  3. Nominate 11 other bloggers and ask them 11 new questions. ( 5 questions and 6 nominations only) 🔵
  4. Notify the nominees about it on one of their own posts.✔️
  5. List the rules and display the Sunshine Blogger Award logo on your post and/or your blog site.✔️

Kristian’s Questions to me;

If you knew someone who had given up on reading, what book would you give them to get them interested?

If someone has given up on reading, I would want to know why. If this is due to a shortage of time, I would give them something like a short stories book, so that they can read one story at a time and stay connected to reading. If that person has stopped reading books because they couldn’t find an interesting book, I would give them my personal favorite, Lord of the rings to read. It is guaranteed to make them get interested in reading again.

What do you consider one of your character flaws?

Being too impulsive. Acting first and thinking afterwards. Proverbially after I have taken the leap, I will think to myself, what am I doing. But sometimes not even then. Maybe after I have landed into the soup then!

What is the last song you listened to before reading this?

” Problem” by Becky G, I really love this one!

What would you like people to know about you, that may not be obvious?

That I make a lot of spelling mistakes. I have auto correct on all the time, but that comes with its own quirky problems, like changing names and phrases that aren’t in US English.

What impression would you like to leave people with?

I would love people to see me as a genuine person. Caring and sincere.

If you had to sing something in public, what song would you choose?

I can’t sing to save my life. I could take part in a chorus of a song , the lyrics of which I knew.

Name a book that you are intending to read, at some point.

I got ” The soul of Rumi ” by Coleman Barks. It’s on my night stand for a couple of months now. I hope to read it eventually.

Do you have a favourite artist/painter, who are they?

I love and admire all the paintings by Monet. They are so pleasing to look at. I am no art expert so my criteria is beauty and aesthetics.

What subject that isn’t normally taught in schools, do you think should be?

Since I was in school around 40 years ago, I don’t know what they teach there anymore. But one thing is apparent, nobody is teaching good manners to young generation anymore. Maybe they should, so that the sense of entitlement can give way to gratitude in our youth.

My views about entitlement here.

Do you have a pet? What animal is it, or what animal would you like to have?

I don’t have any pets. I wanted to keep chickens when I was a kid but they all passed away and since then, I haven’t had any pets.

You wake up at 2am and can’t sleep. What do you do?

I walk if I can’t go to sleep. Or if I get up in the middle of the night and further sleep eludes me. It is great way to overcome insomnia as 30-45 minutes of medium brisk walk can tire you and you can go back to sleep. It also is helpful to think out the thoughts that are keeping you awake.

I have written a post about walking indoors, perfect for nighttime. You can read here.

My Questions;

What is the best thing about blogging?

Have you written or plan to write a book? If so what is your genre?

Do you make life seriously or are you a happy-go-hlucky person?

Do you believe in coincidence or you think every thing is predestined?

Closing your eyes and imagine yourself in a place you have always wanted to visit. Where are you?

Bloggers I would like to present this award to;

Beauty lies within yourself

Solidarity Blogger Award # 2 & 3

Mel of Crushed Caramel has awarded me this Solidarity Blogger Award. And Sanah, of a pause for Nature has also nominated me for the same award.

https://apausefornature.wordpress.com/2019/01/14/the-solidarity-blogger-award/

What Is The Solidarity Blogger Award?

SIWO (Success Inspirers’ World) is an International Friends Blogging Forum. The idea is to encourage team work and to blog together as a community. As an international friends blogging forum, Success Inspirer’s World provides an opportunity that every blogger is looking for – the opportunity to get more exposure and find more followers and readers.

The Rules:

1. Write a post on your blog thanking the person who nominated you
2. Paste the award in the post.
3. Provide a link to the blog of the person who nominated you.
4. Tell Success Inspirers’ World, SIWO what you think about solidarity blogging. Is it worthwhile?
5. Nominate 10 bloggers for the award and inform them.

My views about solidarity blogging;

Blogging is a community endeavor. A blogger can write by himself/ herself but needs others to read what he/ she writes. Without the community the blog has no meaning. In this blogging world, we support each other and hence this community is formed. There are some of us who are doing more for the blogging community than others. But we all are doing our own bit by reading, commenting and interacting with others. The Solidarity of Blogging world is apparent by the way we support each other. So though we are not working as a group or have any common agenda, we are a coherent family like community.

I am nominating five bloggers for this award.

Calm Kate of Aroused

What would make for……Answer

Rory has asked a few questions about the awards. Please give your input as well.

What do you actually like about Awards?

To me, an award, what ever kind, is an encouragement of the efforts of a blogger. Specially a new blogger feels elated by an award nomination. I remember when I got my first Sunshine Blogger Award, I felt that I have received recognition. And I think that most bloggers feel that way, specially on the reception of their first award.

What do you not like about Awards?

The forward gifting of the award is the most tricky part. The problem is two folds.

1. Who to gift/ nominate

2. The reception of the award by the nominee/ gifted.

The process of finding blogs to nominate and then creating a ping back by itself is time consuming. Then who to nominate? This is also a difficult choice. And when you do nominate some blogs for the award, they will most probably not want it!

The rest of the process is fun. Answering questions and asking a few of your own choosing is good fun.

What would you like to see with Awards?

This is a difficult question. I think the sensible thing would be to do away with further nominations. Just give a few people the award and let it be the end of it. But then who will do the future award gifting? A catch 22 situation. Some senior blogger, with a following of a certain number of followers could be the one giving the awards. But I see that this will have problems of its own. Then I think each person should give/ nominate 3-5 people for the award. I hope there is some sense in what I just wrote!

What would you consider to be a true ‘Nomination’ Award?

I think the true award is when people want to read what you are writing. To a blogger this is true joy. The awards in WordPress are only those which bloggers give to each other without any fixed criteria. If there was a system of judging the blogs and awarding different awards as medals, that would just spoil the whole atmosphere of the blogosphere.

If it was a true Nomination Award, as in you are entered into a pool of other bloggers and the Award had more impact and value, what would you like to see at the end of it?

That would be too official. Just like a competition. I would not like to be in a competition with my fellow bloggers. That is my opinion. We can give these awards as compliment, a recognition of the blog writer’s creativity or ingenuity. That can be done from one blogger to another. Say, I like what you are writing and it is, a) helping or encouraging me, or b) entertaining me or c) making my life cheerful, I would gift you with a compliment like award, to acknowledge your blog’s contribution towards a happier or more organized me!

If you want to contribute your opinion to this question, please head over to Rory, A Guy Called Bloke and K9 Doodlepips, and let him know what your thoughts are.
