I find serenity in fire

SERENE SUN

Feel free to use either the image or the words as your muse for the week.

➰➰➰

Fiery hot sun —burns

I cannot look at it

For more than a few seconds

There is a fire raging there

It’s flares extend far and wide

Yet…..

I feel reassurance and serenity

In its raging, burning hot flames

Till the sun burns bright, we’ll live

Without it there will be no life

So at dawn and dusk when it makes

It’s presence know by its light and heat

I inhale a deep breath of gratitude

We will survive another day…….

  1. We will survive for 5 billion years, as astronomers say. And then the Sun will swallow its planets in a gulp, when it starts dying. They are drawing comparisons with a similar scene of a star that swallowed its planet.

So at dawn and dusk when it makes
It’s presence know by its light and heat
I inhale a deep breath of gratitude
    We will survive another day…
