For visually challenged writers, the image shows pawprints on a sandy beach

Man or animal

Leave a mark

Whenever they

Step on the wet sand

Like the sand of time

These temporary footprints

Erased by the new incoming wave

But here for a short time only

They do make a difference

They are a testament

That we were here!

  6. Beautiful Sadje. Your poem reminds me of an old poem I read years ago, “Footprints in the Sand” that was also a testament of strength and endurance. You did a beautiful job with this poem my friend. 🤗👏🏼🤩

  17. Hi Sadje,
    This is the best poem I read this week.
    When you talk about human ‘footprints’, I’m sure here you recognise and highlight “THE BEST OR BETTER individual humans can do to or for this planet”.
    We have (each of us) a mind with interesting thinking abilities. And this should properly used.

  20. What a wonderful response to the prompt, Sadje, I love the direction you too, into the sands of time! Its amazing how a being can leave a footprint behind in someone’s life, simply because they were in the right place at the right time for their paths to cross. 💞💞💞
