A to Z Challenge- Questions- T

My posts in A to Z challenge this April will be on questions!

What are the different TYPES of bloggers?

I’ve been blogging for more than four years now. I’ve come across many different types of people in my journey.

The shy ones, hesitant to comment or interact

The bold ones, stating their opinions strongly

The supportive ones, alway ready with a word of encouragement

Friendly ones who would always read and comment on the posts

Those who only follow for a quid pro quo, requesting us to follow

The rude ones who face instant blocking and unfollowing

Then there are those who are like ghosts, invisible and a bit scary

The vast majority of those who follow are invisible people

They neither have a blog, nor do they write or read

Who are these people? We all would like to know!

  1. It is possible the invisible ones read, at least occasionally… I have a few friends and family members that follow me even though they don’t have blogs. I usually forget about it until someone says, “You wrote something on your blog the other day…” But, yeah, I think the majority of people who follow me never had any intention of reading a word I wrote. It takes all type 😉

    1. It does–I am grateful for those who take the time to read and/or comment and interact. I have a passion for writing, and the community of people on WordPress inspires me and helps me hone my writing skills every day.

    1. Haha! My case is exactly opposite. I told everyone but no one has time to visit my blog. In a way that’s a good thing because I can write anything here without fear of offending anyone. 😂

            1. If it is about them, I run it by them first, but I think they’re just glad I found a space to call my own.
Lol, I’ve lived an open book life all my life 😁
              I think I’ve earned this😉🤍
              Thank you, Sadje G🙏

  2. There sure are a lot of different types. I once did a post listing all I could think of. Can’t remember them all. I need to look for that post. haha. Yeah, what’s the deal with these mystery people. If you find out, let us know. 🙂

  3. I have no idea what kind of blogger I am. I blog because it gives me pleasure, an outlet for different types of creativity. I’m not really into counting my likes and followers and I never check the stats.

Most of my readers are people I follow. I try to read all their posts, but I find it impossible to read every post of those who publish several times a day, if I did that I’d be glued to the screen all the time.

Weekly Prompts is different, I don’t treat it as a personal blog, I set it up as impersonal site where challenges are set and support pages are offered, therefore I don’t follow all the ones who take part, though I do comment on every response.

The other day I read the blog of someone I follow, she doesn’t blog often and doesn’t have many followers. She wrote that her husband had just died. I noticed that two bloggers had clicked Like without leaving a comment. This tells me they hadn’t even bothered to read this poor lady’s post. I think a number of bloggers do that.

    1. Very true Sue. Many people just like the post and move on. I also try to read the posts in my reader but sometimes it gets a bit overwhelming. Thanks for sharing your thoughts

  4. I know. Those i9nvisible followers. I think its the CIA and every other country’s similar branch looking for untowards to try to prevent stuff from happening and yet they can’t even tell us who killed Kennedy. I used to blog on another platform and I got a follower who turned out to be the branch of the CIA that follows all metaphors. And I used a lot of metaphors. Who knew. Now I don’t bother. I just say what I mean. It’s less sinister and secretive.

  5. Our privacy is a figment of our imagination now. I still write about them but not about their policies. I comment on body language, hair and teeth and funny things they say. I’m so over it. I’m too old to care, but I advocate caution for everyone else.

  6. Maybe the quiet ones are ghosts of bloggers past? 😉 I used to be more of a lurker, now I’m afraid some of you that I follow may consider me a stalker….lol 💞
