Hope, the chicken

Felt the need to explore

Wandering across the road

She ran across some teenagers

Who hadn’t seen a free-range chicken before

They stared at her, bamboozled expressions on their faces

Why people, haven’t you heard of the chicken who crossed the road?” She asked

“All the jokes and memes about the adventures of the humble chickens”

Made for the amusement of the humans, to ridicule us chickens”

I came to see for myself, what’s all this excitement all about?”

“Can you answer my question, dear people……

Why do you cross the road?”

  1. Sort of also fits Carrot Ranch… though I don’t know about the word count 😉

We have some Canada Geese here that like to block some of the roads when they cross… I’m guessing because the grass is greener 😉

      1. Yes always fun to watch the geese and ducks cross. There is a specialty crossing sign around one of the ‘back roads’ that has a turtle, rabbit, duck, geese, and even a bear (maybe other animals too…) 🙂
