My posts in A to Z challenge this April will be on questions!

Why MINDFULNESS matters?

➰➰➰
Going through the motions
Hardly noticing what we are doing
Experiencing, reading, or even eating
Can whitewash all that effort into nothingness
Being mindful of even the breath we take
Can exalt it to the level of deep meditation
The two ways of living differ as widely as day and night
With oblivion, every effort seems to not matter at all
And with mindfulness, each act has a deeper meaningful impact

It’s hard to be mindful when you are born into an anxious family and have inherited those very tendencies. Nonetheless, I have been consciously searching, lately, for daily opportunities to be mindful – usually just stopping for a few moments to listen to the birds or to notice a person just going about the business of ‘being’. It really does help! I appreciated this lovely reminder this morning, Sadje 🙂🙏

Thanks Patti for your kind words. It is hard to be mindful if our brain is thinking too many thoughts. I’m glad this helped with your quest to find mindfulness

I don’t have to experience mindfulness in a quiet place all by myself for a half hour or more. Stirring something on the stove, brushing teeth, sorting the laundry are all part of me. Those times should not be wasted.
To each in his own way.

Any activity done with awareness is enough Lady. ❤️

Sadje this is magical and brilliant. Your words “whitewash” and “exalt” highlight the mindfulness spectrum with elegance and deep insight. Thank you my friend. An enjoyable read and perfect inspiration.

Lovely piece. With the very practise of mindfulness we can cultivate the practise of meditating on the go without even needing a yoga mat.
Have a good weekend dearest. ❤

We are all born with a deeply rooted need to find meaning or answers that explain our life events.

Sometimes doing nothing is good for our mental health. Although I don’t do well resting.

Great advice, Sadje. We’re so used to “multi tasking” these days that we forget how to be mindful.

Thanks Maria. Yes we mostly are preoccupied and don’t even remember what we just did or said.

Mindfulness is important to me. On the days I don’t go to the gym I do a yoga or a kind of Tai-Chi class. The teacher just changed because of timing conflicts – instead of one instructor for yoga there are now two. Each has a unique spin – I just did a 45 minute online class. 😀

That’s really good to do yoga. And online is better no fear of getting infection too.

This is modified for Seniors… about a third of it is sitting. And all the movements are slow 🙂

I’ve also downloaded an app; chair yoga. Will be starting after Ramadan ends.

Today is the last day of Ramadan. Tomorrow is Eid here and it’s in many places today, all depending upon the sighting of the new moon. Thanks

Autopilot has its uses, but slowing down and focusing more often can lead to a happier and less stress filled life. Thank you for the lovingly done reminder, Sadje! 💞💞💞
