My posts in A to Z challenge this April will be on questions!

Why KEEPING it alive is necessary?
When I started my blog, the name I came up with was, “Keep it alive”!
I wanted to address the issues empty nesters faced
I felt that some people lost interest in living life to the fullest
When we are done with one responsibility in life, it’s possible
That we no longer feel useful, at a loose end, not knowing
How to occupy ourselves and spend our time gainfully
At times like these, we need to reinvent ourselves and find new interests
We need to evolve from a parent into what we had aspired to be
Before we took on this hugely important task of bringing up our children
Take up a new hobby, find work as a volunteer
Start reading that pile of books collecting dust by your bed
There are so many productive activities that we can engage in
That will give us a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction
Right now is the time you’d been longing for since you became a parent
Do all the things that you’ve been putting off for the time you’ll be free!
➰➰➰

I am happy to know the backstory of your blog name, ma’am. I agree with you, I push my parents to follow what they want to, because it’s time for them to actually live life the way they want. ❤️

They may have left the nest, but offspring continue to make demands which interrupt whatever you find to do afterwards – bless them! Great to hear your origin story Sadje…

This is so very true! I’m still struggling with my empty nest – it doesn’t help that I’m not working anymore.
