I am writing to express my opinion, share my experiences and to maybe provide some insight. My blog is addressing women at 50 ( but men are welcome to read my posts) ,their issues and the questions that come up at this stage in life. I don’t aim to teach, but to learn together.

Absolutely and Amen to gratitude for the small wins.
True, true, true. we tend to zoom in on what’s wrong for way too long. And make the wrong take us through the day. No wonder we’re stressed. Zooming in on what’s right with our world and in our lives is not shutting a blind eye; it’s where we have to zoom in to relax. Thanks for saying it so well, Sadje. Blessings.
Clever title along with the ‘lens’ of how we see things. I remember reading something about beginning and ending one’s day with listing in your head or on paper three things of gratitude.
There was a film artist who took to printing the ‘negatives’ or x-rays of images… and there was so much beauty to be seen 🙂 “English artist Nick Veasey is best known for using x-ray technology to reveal the deepest layers of his subjects.” Although I might be thinking of anothher artist who only did flowers…

Very true Sadje. We focus on the negatives far too much and miss so much that is good and positive

Sometimes the heaviness of the moment skews our focus. Thankfully we can reflect .

Girl Sadje, these last lines of your quadrille are so spot on:
“If we counted every blessing coming our way
We’d be more cognizant of things going right!”
Truth well-spoken so poetically my friend. 😍🙌🏼🤗

My father in law used to advocate this method of listing our positives every day. He was a very upbeat person.
