For visually challenged writers, the image shows a peaceful lake with calm blue skies, yet near the waterside is a huge ripple.
➰➰➰
A stone plopped from the shore
Or a gentle breeze blowing over water
Creating ripples on the still surface
Small waves moving outwards to the shore
In the calm of life, many things can create waves
Some are major while others are just minor irritations
If we let every annoyance disrupt our peace
We will always live on tenterhooks of stress
Learn from the rest of the water which stays calm
Even when ripples are being created in one part of it
➰➰➰

Nicely written! There is something so powerful and soothing about water and the way it moves, sounds, crashes and receedes.

Beautifully said, Sadje! Now I want to be on the water in my kayak…allowing the rhythm of the ripples rocking me gently to sooth everything inside 💞💞💞

The lake was like glass yesterday and made me long to be out there…but it’s only 43F this morning and the ice recently left the lake…so it will be a while before I grab the paddle 💞

Small ripples in life one can usually deal with but crashing waves are more difficult. Beautiful and wise piece, Sadje.
