Respond to this Friday Faithfuls challenge by writing anything about outer space, or you can go with anything else that you think fits.
➰➰➰
It’s awe inspiring
Beyond our understanding
The sky glittering with stars
Or perhaps planets or satellites
I must confess the truth here
I am quite uninformed about them
When I look up on a clear night sky
I cannot identify the planets or constellations
In naive wonder I look up and just admire
The glittering, glimmering beauty of this display

Yes it was amazing. I could see it much better than what my phone captured.

Nice pictures. It is good when you are able to identify what you are looking at.

Thanks Patricia. If only I had a camera instead of a phone, they’d be much better

Girl Sadje, I am on the same page as you are in your star-struck poem. I loved these lines in particular:
“When I look up on a clear night sky
I cannot identify the planets or constellations
In naive wonder I look up and just admire
The glittering, glimmering beauty of this display”
You nailed this challenge! Beautiful! 😘🌟🌞

Venus is the brightest while Mars is reddish in the night sky.

Did you see them last night? I could see them but didn’t have a camera that could capture the moment.

I’m seeing Venus these days, right after Iftar 🙂

Good pictures Sadje. here in the UK Venus was at 5 o’clock to the crescent moon, which was more upright than where you are. Fascinating how images differ throughout the world.

That’s the thing about the beauty of nature…one does not need to know their names etc to marvel at the spectacular.

Oh yes, very true. It’s an invitation to marvel at the creation of the Almighty.

It’s soothing enough just to watch the night sky, but if you take a little time to learn some more, it feels like bonding with the cosmos. They become old mysterious friends

Saw this spectacle in the sky. The last 1-1/2 months the planets have been putting up quiet the show.
Love your images too.

Beautifully done, Sadje! I love how its not necessary to know all the details of something to appreciate and love it’s splendor. 💞💞💞

Thanks a lot Dawn. Perhaps that way we retain some of the magic we felt as children

I was listening to Neil deGrasse Tyson…(American astrophysicist) he explained that stars do not twinkle. It is their light traveling through different temperatures through our atmosphere that make them appear that way. Also a planet will not refract light that way – So a planet will not ‘sparkle’.
Just kept enjoying the sky. It doesn’t matter if you can name anything. Lovely images.
