I like using table mats

And I like them to be colorful

As they add color to the drab brown of my table

Prevents the dishes from harming the surface

Gives us a sense of where we should be sitting

I love my colorful table and place mats!

  4. Beautiful poetry on the place markers. You elevated to perfection what is often overlooked.
    It was not lost on me that your thoughtful poem could well be a metaphor/ comment on one’s own place in the grand schema of things. Brava!

      1. Yes, it can certainly liven or relax the dining experience, depending on the tablemats being used. They are certainly practical.
        Mine are currently easy on the eye and so relaxing for me right now. But whenever they need replacing, I may go for something bright and bold.
