Maggie asked us a few questions about how music makes us feel. Instead of answering those questions, I’ve written a poem. 

Music talks directly to my soul
There is a deep connection between the two
It brings enlightenment to the sleeping spirit 
Or stirs it up to dance with the beat
Smiles abound when the lyrics are lively, upbeat
Deep, enriching words provoke contemplation 
Music connects souls to each other too
Give music a chance whenever you’re feeling blue
