WQ #7: February 15: GRID/GRIDLOCK/LINES

WEDNESDAY QUOTES Logo by Donna @ Retirement Reflections

Happy Wednesday and welcome to WQ. Grid has a network of meanings from the internet and electric power grids to traffic jams, maps to cattle grates. First used in 1839 as a grate, the word grid is a versatile word whether you are on or off-grid. I’m excited to see what you come up with for this word.

➰➰➰

Chuck Close

Rigid lines

Grid locking

Too much regimentation

Takes the unpredictability

Out of this adventure called life

Color outside the lines

Once in a while

Learn to be wild

Splash in the puddles

Laugh openly, freely

You’ve only one life

Live it a little

Intersecting lines make a pattern

Making grids naturally

Nature’s art draws the eye

Look closely and be amazed

  1. You did it and it is fabulous. I love your poetry.

My life is pretty much unregimented. When I get too scheduled, something inside of me cries to get out of the jail the schedule held in and I claw and scratch until I escape.
