She sits

Between the statues

She has sculpted precisely

Her passion to give identity, personality

To pieces of marble, or wood

Immense satisfaction generated when lifelike forms emerge

Through sweat and aching muscles she liberates dreams

Her hands calloused, her arms aching, her heart gladdened
