It is true
That we all are different
That we all see things uniquely
I have always had the ability to think out of the box
To perceive reality from an angle quite different from others
Is this an advantage or a handicap?
Sometimes I feel that it is an advantage because I can find solutions others can’t
And at other times, I fail to see the obvious unless it’s pointed out!

Perception is often an indicator of how we view life. When we break down our thoughts and feelings, we are often met with the realization that it is all about how we perceive things. I truly believe your ability to see outside of a box is an advantage! For people like me, who have never fit in a box, I can assure you we are very grateful for people like you!!

I loved this Sadje. I agree with others, your ability to think outside the box is producing some very interesting and insightful work.
Your poem also reminds me of an English lecturer at University when we were studying poetry, my interpretations were always so way off everyone else’s interpretation that I was always invited to ‘share my thoughts first’. Mind you I also got an essay back with numerous ‘no’ written throughout – was surprised that I’d passed
