  • Write about a breakup (not necessarily romantic) in any poetic form, not to exceed 20 lines.

We’ve been together a very long time

And saying goodbye to you is very hard

But I have to decide between you and myself

And don’t think me selfish, but I come first

So this is a final goodbye to you my friend

From now onwards, we go our separate ways

I won’t look at you and you shouldn’t cross my path

No more desserts, or sweets temptations for me

Our paths have separated for ever now!
