    (U.S.) Also known as Leonardo of Pisa and Leonardo Fibonacci, Leonardo Bonacci invented a pattern of counting that continues to influence math and technology today. The pattern is made up of numbers that sum the previous two numbers before them — 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13 — and so on.

    There is even a poetry scheme for counting syllables – Fibonacci – 1,1,2,3… etc
