For the visually challenged writer, the photo shows two men sitting on steps having what appears to be a serious discussion.

Craig had to choose a path, but given his history of making poor decisions, he decided to take advice from his best friend, Jake.
When he explained his problem to Jake, he burst out laughing. “What a silly thing to be upset about, Craig”.
“It’s not silly and it’s very important to me. I thought you’d understand and help me out but you think it’s a joke” Craig was very angry at Jakes reaction.
Jake sobered up instantly, and keeping his amusement hidden, he placated Craig. “I’m sorry for my reaction, my bad”, he said.
“As concerning your decision, I think traveling in your car is safer. You’re taking Kathy and little Sandra too so it’s a better option. And you can make this trip into a recreational trip. I hope bro that your new job on the east coast is all you hope it would be”
Craig was mollified by Jake’s speech. He felt confident that traveling across the country to take a job in Washington state wasn’t a bad decision after all. And he need not fly there as he had a phobia of air travel.

This is compelling. Yes, sometimes we can use a little help from a friend. And though it might appear little as such to them, to us it means the whole world. This is a great piece and I love it.

Thank you Mthobisi. Many people are weary of air travel, specially after Covid.

Great illustration of how a situation that seems like no big deal to one person may be crippling to another. Well said, Sadje! 💞💞💞

Friends are a treasure, esp. when they are kind enough to hide their amusement at what they see as our foibles.

Very right Dora. I think we tolerate even their amusement because we know they are sincere
