Today Linda has asked us to use our favorite word in our SoCS post. The word I use a lot is an Arabic word- Inshaa’Allah!
Inshaa’Allah, translated to English means, “ With the will of Allah ( God)”
We, the people in our part of the world use this word mostly with hope. In itself it hold a prayer that with God’s will it will be so.
I use this word a lot, to express my hopes, my dreams, and my desires that I want for myself and those who I care about. It is not easy to explain how potent this simple phrase is for us, Muslims. We look to the Almighty with all our prayers. So saying something will be Inshaa’Allah so, means that we have full faith that it will be so.
➰➰➰
Your prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “your favorite word.” Decide on your favorite word and use it in your post any way you’d like. Enjoy!

Beautiful word. The closest equivalent word I could think of in my language is, “Puhon” with the closest English translation as, “God willing”.
