I opened the patio door and seeing the broken chair and faded table brought tears to my eyes. Granny’s old place was falling to pieces and now we had to clean it out and sell her apartment.
Whatever the place may look like now, I would always cherish my childhood memories in this home with her love and affection playing a big role in my life.

I’m in tears, just at the memories of sorting out my darling nan’s affairs 12 years ago. Bless her soul she would have been 106 next week and I miss her like madly. Well-penned, my friend, not many can make me cry

Aww, I’m sorry that you miss her so much. It’s the saddest part, sorting out their things after they are gone.

This is how I feel with my grandparents old place. Unfortunately it got demolished to make way for “government improvements”. The place wasn’t much but the memories my siblings and I have there are priceless

Yes, it’s something we can treasure even with the physical place is gone.
