Autumn Leaves

Autumn is the mellower season, and what we lose in flowers we more than gain in fruits.”– Samuel

Initially written for Eugenia‘s weekly prompt- Autumn, I’m sharing this poem for this weeks prompt by Sue W and GC!

Autumn Leaves

🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂🍂

Autumn could be the season of death and loss

Or it could be when nature puts on a show of spectacular colors

To let us know that end is not always sad or final

Falling autumn leaves in resplendent colors and hues

Like gems out of the jewelry box of Mother Nature

A gentle reminder to us that this end is just another beginning

That when one era ends, another is about to commence

  1. I like “to let us know that the end is not always final or sad…” so lovely and such a nice way to look at fall, and also life. It’s hard when things end, or when we lose people we love. How we believe in it or approach it can make a difference.
