I am writing to express my opinion, share my experiences and to maybe provide some insight. My blog is addressing women at 50 ( but men are welcome to read my posts) ,their issues and the questions that come up at this stage in life. I don’t aim to teach, but to learn together.

Beautiful story. Well told, my friend.
I can relate– living in a largish city, I travel long distances to find a quiet space.
Sadje, I absolutely love solitude when I can find the time for it. Once it is attained I find myself to be a calmer person. I restarted yesterday to go for a walk after work to clear my head and to refocus on what is important. Thank you for such a lovely poem.

Kind of sad to have to go so far to find solitude and peace. Both can be found within if we take the time to be still.

Hmm…. Yes, that’s true. But sometimes the external noise hampers the development of inner peace.

My pleasure Mary. Solitude is what our souls crave. If the environment is busy, crowded or noisy, we need a calm space.

Totally get it. Though I don’t have to travel far for solitude today, I did for many, many years. Awesome write, Sadje.

I remember living in cities… peace is hard to find outside of your own four walls.
