Solitude

Every day around 10 in the morning he would come and sit here for a couple of hours, have his sandwich and feed the birds.

One day I got up the courage to ask him why did he come here daily?

He said for the solitude and peace, which is lacking in his neighborhood, almost 20 miles away.

  1. Sadje, I absolutely love solitude when I can find the time for it. Once it is attained I find myself to be a calmer person. I restarted yesterday to go for a walk after work to clear my head and to refocus on what is important. Thank you for such a lovely poem.
