Sometimes we are forced to do things by our circumstances or when others demand of us. But sometimes we are prisoners of our own habits.
We feel we need to do something because we have always done it that way.
Well I am like that. A prisoner of habits. But recently I’ve started to rebel. Small insignificant things but to me they are big steps. If it’s my routine to do things in a certain order or way, I am deliberately doing it a different way. And after a few days, I am okay with it. It gives me a feeling of liberation to break this chain which is binding me to a habit which is neither useful nor necessary.
Break the bonds
That bind you tight
Hold you a prisoner
Of your own habits
Free yourself from
Self-imposed restrictions
Go live a freer life
Celebrate freedom

Linking it to Rory’s Question- Did you ever had a great idea?

Yes!!!!! So powerful Sadje—when we allow ourselves the freedom to change. First introspection is needed then courtyard to act.

Yes, indeed. It just take clear thinking and determination to do it. Thanks

I think it’s like one has been holding their breath for years and years and finally exhaling and feeling that freedom.

Yes! A celebration it is indeed, to be free and to “feel” free in the routines of doing.
Absolutely inspirational Sadje. I love this! Thank you.

Being free to be your own version of you is the best feeling in the world, only you can decide what that is.

So true! Good for you. There is a quote “the chains of habit are too light to be felt until they’re too heavy to be broken”. I don’t know who said it, though.
