
Sylvester stood by the railway line and read the sign;
Stop, it said, await instructions.
He wasn’t a patient sort of a fox but he waited. Waited for five full minutes before he ventured to cross the line, cautiously.
Just at that exact moment a fast train came roaring down the line. Sylvester made a mad dash to cross the line before the train came bearing down on him……
And he just made it. Next time, he’d wait a bit more, just to be safe.

Glad the fox made it. I’ve red fox I’ve seen in my back yard – just a few times though.
Once on a walk I saw a fox kit playing at trying to catch a butterfly 🙂
