Permanent and Challenging 

Asking us to dare to conquer them

Just to stand on the top and see

How the world looks like from up there!



Man always is intrigued by a challenge

Wants to show himself that he has it

The guts and chutzpah to overcome it

But in reality the only mountain he has to conquer

Is the one that’s inside of him all along!

A wish and a prayer for us all.

May we all overcome the obstacles that stand in the way of our success. Amen

  13. I love everything about this post: the poems, the quotes, and the photos. “The best view comes after the hardest climb” is one of my favorite quotes!
    P.S. I hiked that mountain (Half Dome) just a few years ago. Was one of the best days of my life, even though I only made it to the base of the dome, because a permit is required to climb the cables to the top ❤

  17. Mountains make the perfect metaphor for obstacles. Your post pointed out that the beauty of the mountain is in the obstacles we overcome to climb over them. We can get overwhelmed by mountains, or we can make them work to our advantage – either by climbing them or finding a way around them or a way to enjoy the beauty they bring to our lives. Beautiful post in every way, Sadje.
