This week Share Your World is being hosted by Di. Thanks you so much Di.

1. Do you prefer to live in a single story property like a bungalow, a high rise apartment, or a house?
I have lived in all sort of homes and right now we are in a double storied home of own. I seldom go upstairs as I have issues with my foot. It’s a big family home and I feel that in a few years we should downsize and get an apartment in a nearby complex. That place has a mall, a swimming pool, a walking track and lots of apartments. There will be no hassle of maintaining a garden or the security.
2. If you won a large amount of money on the lottery, would you want publicity or keep things quiet and low key?
Shush……. Don’t tell anyone at all.
3. How do you like your eggs? (No, this is not a trick question)
I really don’t like eggs, especially since I got my gallbladder out. If I have to have them I’d prefer to have them in a cake like Paula, or perhaps a Spanish omelette.
4. If cars were no longer available, what would be your choice of transport?
I think bikes are the best alternative to cars. And if it’s a permanent situation, then get an e-bike like Fandango for we aren’t getting any younger.
Gratitude:
Last Wednesday, I was finally allowed to use my left foot to walk on. Despite my apprehension, there wasn’t any pain on walking on the operated foot, just discomfort. I have been advised to take it easy and do as much as I can easily do. But I am very grateful to the Almighty to be able to be independent again and do stuff for myself, myself!!!

Yay cake! I hear you about a house vs an apartment. I’m so happy in my condo where I don’t have to worry about security or upkeep of a lawn. Glad to hear your foot doesn’t hurt while walking. Take it easy though!

Thanks a lot Paula! Yes, the idea of an apartment seems very attractive right now. Specially if they maintain the building too. No hassle for the home owner.

Congratulations on being able to walk without pain. My son had foot surgery in the spring and he is frustrated with how slowly he’s improving.

I’m also very happy about being able to walk. Though I get pain if I sit too long with my foot hanging but that I think I’d due to it being in a cast. Thanks a lot

Congrats, now be sure to take it real slow on that foot. I rushed back into things when I fractured my knee and refractured it. 🙄

Good to hear your foot is healing and you are walking on two feet rather than hopping along on one.

Yes, it’s such a relief. Now one month to go before the cast comes off.

I’m happy you’re able to walk again. I’m looking forward to my wife’s broken foot to heal, and hopefully she’ll be walking again without crutches by the end of the month. And yes, ebikes for us oldies but goodies are great!

Thanks a lot Fandango! I hope the foot heals well and in time. It’s an inconvenience that takes its toll.

I am so glad to know your foot is better, Sadje! We were transferred to Atlanta, Ga from Florida, where we owned a single-story home. We moved into an apartment because we weren’t sure we would stay here. Well, 10 years later and we’re still here. We live in an apartment and I love it! It’s a gated community with a pool, workout room, an Amazon hub, and other amenities, plus we have a garage for our classic car. Best part is no maintenance, shoveling snow, etc. and we’re close to our favorite stores, etc. We also have a balcony where we have plants, etc.
Take it easy with that foot and give it time to heal properly.

The idea of an apartment seems so attractive right now. Let’s see if we go for it or not. I am taking it easy and am doing just what I easily can. Thanks a lot

I would tie two questions together… if I won big on the lottery people would know because I would build a new one story house (those stairs get tough by the end of the day sometimes).

That would be good use of lottery money. 🤩

1. Apartment because I’m scared of being robbed in a house.
2. Definitely keep it quiet
3. I rarely eat eggs, but when I do, I will eat them boiled, fried, or scrambled.
4. Definitely a bike.
Love your answers and am so glad you can finally walk on your operated foot again.
