Flying high in the sky Their intent deadly Raining death on people From high in the sky They spread mayhem On orders from above Their feeling or conscience Not involved in their actions Do they ever think about The consequences of their actions?
I am writing to express my opinion, share my experiences and to maybe provide some insight. My blog is addressing women at 50 ( but men are welcome to read my posts) ,their issues and the questions that come up at this stage in life. I don’t aim to teach, but to learn together.

Thanks! That was the prompt. Living in a place which in past has been a target for drone attacks by the Americans, fighter jets do raise these emotions
Powerful poem. I look forward to the day those obeying “orders from above” will stop and think, and realize that we all have one Father and that we all are brothers and sisters.
It is so very difficult to understand any war. Conflicts have existed since the first groups of humans split into two groups. So much politics with a select few leading. If we could only have leaders who actually respected those they cared for. But then would any of us want to be slaves at the short end? My heart goes out to all who have to fight for justice and peace.

Love this piece, especially the last line. A question I’ve asked myself many times.

I’m sure they often do. Rarer still, are the number of thoughts about the consequence of inaction.
Nicely done. Definitely made me think.

That was very good!!! Even after years of being in the military I’m still amazed when it comes to drones and fighter planes.

I hope that day comes sooner rather than later, before we create divisions that cannot be conquered

It is very unfortunate that this so called civilized society cannot resolve their disputes through peaceful means.
