Welcome back to another Sunday Poser

This week my question is;
What is on your music playlist right now?
Most of us admit that we listen to music daily and it lifts us up. I love to listen to all sorts of music, but I admit that I usually stick to songs and singers/groups that I am familiar with. Seldom do I listen to the new recommendations from Spotify, because I’m perhaps a person of habit and am more comfortable with what I know and like. Sometimes, doing a music challenge, I come across a new song or group that I immediately like and that’s a bonus.
Mostly, what I’m listening to at a time has a lot to do with how I’m feeling at that time.
What are your choices in music; same old favorites from long ago or new music?
Please share your thoughts in the comments section or you can write your own post and link it to this one so that I can find it.
As usual, thanks of visiting and reading.

I’m an old fuddy duddy and rarely listen to anything new. All my playlists and favorite songs are from decades ago, classic rock mostly, and I’m OK with that!

There’s comfort in old favorites. Thanks Paula for sharing.

I actually don’t have a music play list. The other day I plugged my phone into the USB port in my glove compartment to charge it up and it turned on my radio because it was looking for my music play list, but I don’t have any music on my phone.

Not on Alexa either? And you’re such an expert on music!

I have a lot of CDs and I read about music and listen to it on YouTube, but I don’t have a music service. I don’t see the need to pay for something when I can listen to the radio for free.

Yes, that’s true. Over here Spotify is so cheap that it’s like less than $ 2/ month so I don’t mind paying for it.

It is only $9.99/month over here and maybe someday I will join.

I listen to Pandora and always music with no voice accompaniment. I have some problem with voice recordings. Maybe one day I will get a hearing aid but for now I sorta like not hearing all the jabbering.😏

That’s a cool idea as lot of noise can be distracting. Thanks for sharing Patricia

While reading I use You Tube’s Chill Hop guitar or piano music. So relaxing and evokes creativity as well.

I’m a creature of habit as well and usually stick to the same songs that have memories associated with them or that I’ve just liked for a long time. But lately I’ve been checking out Spotify’s recommendations and I’ve found quite a few new favourites that I’ve added to my playlist. Trying new things sometimes works out for the best 🙂

I’ve found a few new songs that I loved too. It’s good to step out of our comfort zone once in a while. Thanks for sharing Dani

I like the old stuff best, though very occasionally I will hear something on the radio I like, but I forget it as soon as I get out of the car.

I have had my playlist for over 10 years. I don’t get new music. I try here and there but I’m too stuck to my old playlist

According to me, Sometimes I go on with the trend, but most of the times, I stick to my old favourites. And it’s hard for me to like something new soon. Most of the times, I feel something for the song only after listening it for 2 3 times. It’s rare for me to have a first impression on a song.

That’s true unless the song is exceptionally good.

Lucky us! I We are blessed with a lot of incredible writers, composers and musicians, therefore still got a long list of favourite songs.

I don’t have a playlist, whatever that means. I listen to the radio, and if I think of a song I want to hear I look on YouTube for it. Sometimes I hear a new song on the SLS challenge that I like, but mostly I like the old songs from when I was growing up best. 🙂

One can make a playlist on the phone or on iPod or an app on the smart phone. But YouTube is good because it has every song. I like old favorites too.

What’s on my playlist?
I don’t know at the moment.
It’s been a while since I lifted my mood with music. It’s something I keep forgetting to do!
Thanks for the reminder 🙂

I have very eclectic and varied tastes. I am just as likely to listen to Wagner, Mendelssohn and Beethoven as I am to The Sweet, Noosha Fox, Goldfrapp, Tangerine Dream and Pink Floyd or newcomers such as Wet Leg and SilverGlam.😀

I love old songs. I love some of the latest songs too like Rhema’s “Cool down”.
My three favorite old songs are “Heaven” by Bryan Adams and Enya’s “Last Time by Moonlight” and another song of hers “Book of Days.
Enya is actually one of my favorite artists.
Sadje, if you love to talk about music, you will easily become a great friend of mine. Music is my genes.

How cool Benjamin. But I have different preference from yours and I listen to songs in English, urdu, Hindi and even Arabic and Spanish. So there may not be a common ground

Ha! Your preferences cut across cultures. Interesting.

I listen to the radio in the car, to a community radio station which plays electronic dance music, so I hear all kinds of stuff.

I don’t have a play list per se. But my musical choice is classic rock from the sixties through the early eighties. Most of the new stuff: meh!

Thanks for sharing Fandango! Most people our age stick to what they like from older days. I like most of the songs from my younger days too.
