➰➰➰
When I close my eyes and think back
To those bygone days of my youth
I see a pool of memories Simmering in silver moonlight
Dipping my fingers in the water
I catch an elusive memory
Of times of silliness and childish joy
That brings a big smile to my face
Or something that causes me to cringe with embarrassment
But I cherish all my memories
Because these are a treasure
That can never be replaced

Sometimes it’s lovely to dip into the memory pool, but I can do without the embarrassing overflows!
Thank you, Sadje

Absolutely right Deb. And I fear when with age we start to lose them.

True. But some people fail to recognize people from the photos too.

Memories are great to go back to once in a while, but you can’t stay there forever, I struggle with this balance from time to time. Well done Sadje!

That is true. One should stay in the present, or should I say, be present in the present 😃
