This week KL Caley has given us this photo as our prompt;

For visually challenged writers, the image shows an ancient window slit beyond which you can see water and trees.
➰➰➰
Looking through a narrow slit
All you can see a partial view
The rest is hidden behind the walls
So much is there that we don’t see
So much more that can change the whole scenario
Before you judge from a narrow view
Go outside and take in the whole vista
➰➰➰

I wonder if the slit will widen over time to reveal more of the unseen.

Metaphorically or in reality?

Your poem made me want to see more of what is hidden behind the walls.

It’s an intriguing window with a very narrow view! I feel the space outside would look much different.

We do need to consider what may be beyond what we can see before we make judgements. Narrow views can be deceiving.

I love that you took a slit window and were able to offer an important lesson on being open-minded and learning the full truth of something before judging it. Bravo!
