Young feet were tiring, but not their spirit
Just a few more minutes, she promised
Slowly they crested the shallow hill
Their eyes were dazzled by the golden glow
The meadow was lit with sunshine striking
The yellow, orange blossoms scattered everywhere
Bright smiles erupted on the children’s faces
An adventure ending in a beautiful reward

A magical story. Love how you increased the suspense with little tired feet trotting along to parts unknown. Awesome writing Sadje.

Me too. Was busy with work, a lot of travelling and viral fever. All coming together. So couldn’t find time and the energy to write.

Oh this was lovely and fun Sadje. I almost went with Pot of Gold at the end of the rainbow for my Twitter poem instead of Pot or Pot.. 😂

The best part of climbing a hill is the beautiful view from the top.

I feel this keenly. Memories of taking my children for walks when they were young. Memories of singing “Follow the Yellow Brick Road” and skipping along with them when they began to flag 🙂🙂🙂
