placidly and silently moored,Mindfully unawares of the wake

,… and what lies beneath, self-assured,

Waiting for the unsuspecting sailor,…

ready to take to the waters with an overzealous glee,

Without even a hint of a seafaring prayer,Nor the care to look below and see,

… those sly and darkened reptilian eyes,Just waiting for the time to rise and pounce,

… Taking the shocked boatman by surprise,

With razor-sharp teeth and pointed and blooded snout!

….. nothing is ever as it may appear to be,No such thing as calm and steady waters,

… Florida lakes are by far the worse you see,

Forget giant crocs! You have to watch for the gators!
