This week, Jim has given us this phrase; “Sure, as you’re born”
You can say it in so many ways
“As apparent as the nose on your face”
“Stating the obvious”, “being Mr obvious”
Or “Sure, as you’re born” is another way
“I’ll give you three guesses”, or, “Nuff said”
It’s a habit with some to say what’s apparent
Stating the truth in a multiple ways, repeatedly
It takes away from the strength of your argument
And makes the point you’re making weak
Just say it once and be done with it!

Thanks Jim. I wasn’t familiar with this phrase and had to look it up.

I think it may be a Southern phrase and the first time I became aware of it was in a Chuck Berry song.

Perhaps. But once you think about it, the meaning is clear.

That’s a fun poem, Sadje! And yes, repeating things in multiple ways only takes away the intensity of it!
