Welcome back to another Sunday Poser

This week my question is;
Do you love going to the beach/ seaside in summer?
Summer time is when people flock to the beaches to enjoy the sea in large numbers. Unfortunately, I live very far from the sea so visiting the beach in any season is not easy for me.
Iβve only visited our southern seaside city Karachi twice in my entire life, and both times it was in summer. There is something special about the sea in summer! Perhaps the cool water eases the heated up bodies or just the presence of the grey blue sea waves is enough to give us a taste of summer fun.
So what is your preference? Do you enjoy the sea in summer or more so in winter when the beaches are less crowded?
Please share your thoughts in the comments section or you can write your own post and link it to this one so that I can find it.
As usual, thanks of visiting and reading.

I do love the ocean. Yet, I live no where near one, like you. It would take a day of travel to get to the ocean. I feel very connected to the ocean however and enjoy the memories I once shared there.
Great poser question Sadje. Thank you.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Suzette! I need to travel 2 hours by air to reach the seaside! Thereβs something very soothing about the water.

I live near the beach and can go wherever I want toβ¦ but I donβt go that often, and especially not in summer, because I hate crowds. I like a cold beach walk, when Iβm bundled up, the skies are grey, and no oneβs aroundβ¦

Nope. Utah is land-locked. I don’t think that the Great Salt Lake qualifies as ‘ocean or seaside’. There are loads of places with a lot of water (reservoirs, biggish lakes, bays and so forth) for mostly fishing, but people going boating and water skiing, swimming and so forth in those. For me? I burn easily and have to be covered up or spend time under the shade of something (a tree or beach umbrella), I dislike intense heat (summer is the only time of year that one can comfortably avail themselves of the lakes and so forth, although Autumn is pleasant). Hubby loved to fish, so I went with him and didn’t mind it. These days? I think I would.

I get you Melanie, as I donβt like intense heat neither. Itβs a disadvantage if one lives far from the sea/ ocean. Thanks for sharing

I haven’t visited much places. Never got much free time.π³
My perception of sea beaches is based on news, videos, and books.
I would like to read other comments here.

In a big country like India, the beach can be very far away for some places.

I live in Central India (Madhya Pradesh).
Arabian sea via Gujarat is near, compare to other sea beaches, here.

I’m a big beach fan in the summer. We rented a house at the beach to escape the high desert heat from the time my son was two years old. We still do! Although we changed locations from Laguna Beach to Santa Barbara. The sea soothes my sould.

Going to the beach in the Fall is my favorite time, though summer is great as well. But I love the Fall with less people and the water is still so warm from being heated up all summer!

I hope you can. The beaches arenβt that clean in Karachi but itβs worth the experience.

I grew up near a lake and spent lots of time on the beach all year round. Now, though I’m just a couple of hours from the ocean I haven’t been there in a long time. I am sort if a homebody these days.

What a great question. I love the sea always, and especially in the winter when it is less crowded. At this time of year, I get to walk along the shore by myself, and it is so quiet, I can hear the ocean breathe. Itβs magnificent.

Got that Jeff. The summer scenario is very crowded at some beaches.

I like traveling to the seaside. The sea breeze gives me a feeling that there is no problem in this world and there are so many things much bigger than myself. Every time I go to a beach and look at the sea I feel like in this vast universe I am nothing but a drop of water in the sea. I feel I can forget everything and live only for myself for a while.
