Sunday Poser # 83

Welcome back to another Sunday Poser

This week my question is;

Do you believe in second chances?

With experience, one learns that people always make mistakes and many deserve a second chance. We should also give ourselves a second chance too if we fail the first time.

A second chance maybe at finding happiness in life. It may be at finding your dream job or it could be going back to school to retry getting the qualifications you didn’t get the first time. Giving a second chance means you have to trust yourself and your judgment.

Would you give yourself a second chance or someone else? Are you willing to try again?9

Please share your thoughts in the comments section or you can write your own post and link it to this one so that I can find it.

PS; Today is a super busy day with family, so I might not be able to respond to your comments till tomorrow!

As usual, thanks of visiting and reading.

  1. I do believe in second chances. I think it is good on a personal level to give oneself a second chance when things do not work out as planned…try again. Thank you Sadje for the thought-provoking question😊

  2. If I’ve been hurt by someone, I really think it depends on the circumstance. Maybe. As for me, no success is guaranteed without trying, so yes, try, try, try and try again! 🙂

  3. It depends on the circumstances. With family and friends, it’s good to accept apologies because no one is perfect (including me, shockingly), but after the same hurtful/annoying thing recurs, I might not be so inclined to forgive a third, fourth, etc. time. In dating, giving more than one chance was always a mistake (for me). If a romance was meant to be, it’ll work out the first time; if it doesn’t, there is usually some insurmountable obstacle that will always be in the way…

    1. You’re right that with family and friends, we give many chances. In love life, giving oneself the permission to try again is necessary, but not with the same person. Thanks for sharing

  4. “Second chances” seem to suggest it’s all or nothing, pass or fail. I reckon we get chances every day to improve on something, fix something, try again. As for giving others another chance, I wouldn’t like to lay down the law : judgement and experience are called on,as your readers say. I think 70 x 7 chances is a bit excessive though!
