Empty park benches
Waiting for people young and old
To sit here, enjoy the view
To play, to chat, to be alive again
To bring life back to the park

I love going to the park. I still even play on the swings once in a while lol.

The benches look filthy, and I don’t think I would be sitting on them until someone cleaned them off.

There’s something lively about parks. Kids playing, people walking/chatting & etc. Human interactions..so wonderful!

Your post reminds me of days before technology was running rapid. We still sit and talk to people but we are so busy these days. Great words Sadje! 😊

The place looks empty indeed. I can see how patiently and hopefully they’re waiting 😄

There is a musical called Les Miserables, and this picture reminds of the song “Empty Chairs at Empty Tables”.

I love your poem and the picture was a great prompt response. I love the word, “forlorn.” Would have used in my attempt. ☺️
