Personal experiences, incidents and smiles

Changing tears to smiles
Make someone happy, add some joy
Hold a baby or child crying
Listen to their woes and issues
Be the clown do something to make them happy
Some need food or a helping hand
Others may need reassurance or safety
Even a small gesture can alleviate someone’s hurt
It gives you unmeasurable joy too
When you change tears to smiles
➰➰➰
How do you change tears to smiles?

Absolutely! Treats, hugs, listening, helping…all can help stem the flow of tears.

Sometimes it’s hard! Especially what the tears may be over. There’s a show called South Park and a character called Butters. He explains it really well I think =D
Well yeah, and I’m sad, but at the same time I’m really happy that something could make me feel that sad. It’s like, it makes me feel alive, you know? It makes me feel human. And the only way I could feel this sad now is if I felt somethin’ really good before

Sadness is the flip side of joy. We cannot feel one if we haven’t felt the other.

Giving them my undivided attention. Listening without interruptions. Sitting with them in silence. This is how I do it most of the time. Loved this post. Thanks for sharing.

I’d wish I could ‘just by being there’, but that’s the reserve of the chosen few. A delightful post, Sadje.

This was a beautiful poem. I also think sometimes it is even more comforting to sit down and share a tear or two with a friend. If you are close friends especially, when they hurt you hurt.
