Won’t you call me?
Leave me message
Let me know how it’s going
You know I worry about you
Being far apart makes it difficult
And only hearing your voice at the other end
Will make a mother’s heart easy
When will you call?

Thanks Susi! Being away from a child makes moms desperate to hear their voice.

I guessed it right at the beginning ☺️ It’s about a daughter.

Oh that’s so touching. Children should leave their parents in the dark about their welfare. It certainly hurts.

I do remember before cell phones and international calls and computer emails…
When family, especially children are away and you don’t hear from them. It can be very unsettling.
I read books where letters take weeks or even months to get to people (in the past) – How did we manage without instant communication. But then someone has to start the conversation!! 🙂

We did survive those times and now we are too used to hear the voice of our loved ones instantly

I remember when my husband traveled out of the country and I lived in a state where I didn’t have close relatives – I was bring up my young children at the time…
I just saw on the computer news that someone put a ‘chip’ in their wrist so they can pay without an actual credit card. I’m not at all fond of that idea!

I don’t mind futuristic in shows… but not to much so close to home… so to speak.
