“If you live long enough, you’ll make mistakes. But if you learn from them, you’ll be a better person. It’s how you handle adversity, not how it affects you. The main thing is never quit, never quit, never quit.” ~ William J. Clinton.
This weekend, partner GC and I give you the word LONG as your challenge.
➰➰➰
How do you tell
If it is too long
How can we measure
A life a struggle in days
Hours, months, or years
How long does it take
For a reality to become
A part of the psyche permanently
How long is too long to break the glass ceiling?
➰➰➰

A wonderfully reflective poem, with an important message, Sadje. Never quit, for sure, and the glass ceiling, it’s been too long.

Nice post Sadje read on a day I’ve made the decision to simply life via not allowing myself to settle for crumbs, speak my voice and so-be-it the outcome. (sad feelings a long time brewing).

Yes. Quitting should never be a meat on my plate. I love how you put it too: How long is too long to break the glass ceiling?

Perhaps the real question is how long does it feel?

Such fitting questions, Sadje! Especially, the last line was very powerful and starkly pertinent to the message.

How true that as much as times change, they stay the same with prejudice towards differences; gender, age and experience. Too much time is wasted not giving the right people opportunities.
