Personal experiences, incidents and smiles

Don’t we all love people who get their point across simply and concisely. I am a big admirer of eloquence.
My late father-in-law was one such person. His passion was educating people young and old on how to live a good life. One thing he never did was to force his views upon people who weren’t interested or reluctant.
His lecture was often preceded by tea, hosted by him. He had his lecture down pat that he delivered to his audience with lyrical eloquence. And most if not all responded positively to his message. The tact that he possessed made sure that no one was offended by his talk/ lecture.
He died at the age of 87 and there were so many people who turned up at his funeral because they were so impressed by his words

I remember attending his funeral.
It’s a pity I never got to meet him.
What was the topic of his lectures?
