Death came without warning
Buried deep in the soil in days
It felt so strange in the other world
There, the time was aplenty, nothing urgent to do
No call to take, no emails to write
The digital withdrawal was so severe
The hands searched for those sleek obelisks
Because they felt incomplete without them

I think I would feel that way about books. I enjoy turning pages.
I was just talking to somone who is actually getting rid of their music discs… Not sure how huge the collection. Hard pressed to find when there is so much you can do with youd cell phone and Alexa… (which I don’t have or want!).

Very true Jules. These are the addictions we’ve created for ourselves.

Some are fun though, like the shells from different shores… but do I need so many? 😉

I think our enthusiasm for the things we collect wanes after time. And then it’s hard to find someone who shares our love for that thing.
