A pull from the past

 R E F L E C T I N G  O N  T H E   P A S T

“Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.” – Dr. Seuss.

Looking at the full moon
A wave of nostalgia strikes me
I’m transported back to my youth
Where I’d sit by myself and look
At the starry sky or the full moon
Alone on the hostel roof, in contemplation
I’d think about the secret of life and universe
I am amazed that how a sight, a phrase or aroma
Takes us back to days long ago
And we experience the exact same feelings that we did
At that moment in the past

That’s the power of a memory
