Melanie, our wonderful host has asked us a few thought provoking questions this week;

Welcome to Share Your World!
Additionally, I offer a ‘Gratitude’ Section for those who like a little affirmation with their questions! It’s always optional to participate in that portion of SYW of course.
There are two ways in which you can participate:
Questions;
- What’s the most useful thing you know?
Hmm…… I know a lot of stuff but not all of it is useful. I consider myself a Jack(ess) of all trades. But I guess my most useful asset is my medical knowledge. I can make a preliminary diagnosis, decide what to do initially, and whether a doctor is required or not. I’ve helped many people, family, and friends with my knowledge.
- What impact do you think it would have on the world if bananas were illegal?
People who love bananas will go bananas!!!
- What social stigma does society need to just get over?
Oh they are numerous. Mental health, racism, division on basis of wealth, religion, or race. Basically we need to re-learn what makes foundation of a kind and cohesive society.
- Do you prefer the moral viewpoint of consequentialism*, which focuses on the consequences of actions, or deontology,* which focuses on the innate rightness or wrongness of the actions themselves?
I feel that though consequentialism plays a vital role in the outcome of our actions, I believe in the innate nature of our actions, deontology. A bad gesture or action can sometimes bring about a good/happy outcome but the intent behind it was wrong so it was wrong. Similarly an action with good intent can bring about disastrous consequences, but it was done with good intentions, so the person responsible shouldn’t be held accountable for it.
GRATITUDE SECTION (As always optional)
I got a new iPhone, i13 on Valentine’s Day. It was part present from my husband and partly self funded. The battery of the old phone was almost at its last legs so I went for an upgrade.

Thank you Melanie for thinking up of interesting questions every week.

Next time I have a medical question I am starting with you…I don’t have medical coverage yet and I hate to sit in front of a doctor who tells me something I could have perhaps figured out…like by asking someone else!

Most welcome Christine. I’m the unofficial doctor of my family and friends.

Because of my psoriatic arthritis I have encountered a few health issues over the years. I originally never knew they were all connected, I didn’t know I had the psoriatic arthritis. I hate looking at the internet though. Sometimes you could self-diagnose with some rare, fatal disease that only occurs in uncommon places on earth! 😂

That’s true. When I didn’t have my diagnosis, I too was doing that.

Thanks a lot Paula. Now at least I don’t need to start close to a charger at the time.

A Jill of all trades is a woman who is competent in many endeavors. I hope that your new phone doesn’t make you go bananas.

Thanks Jim! I hope it doesn’t. It looks and works exactly the same as my iPhone Xr! So I don’t feel any difference

Thanks Sadje for Sharing Your World! I suppose if bananas were illegal then only criminals would have bananas! (your answer made me laugh. So true!) 😉 Congratulations on your new phone – it gets annoying when the batteries start running out and you have to charge the device more and more frequently. I’ve had that happen with three tablets now, I’m on #4 and hope it lasts at least a couple of years. The phone has an AWESOME camera and your photos were great! Have a wonderful week!

Thanks for the hopeful message with Spring photo. And perhaps a medical post here and there when you feel led.😊

My pleasure Suzette. When I started to blog there would be a medical post occasionally. Note the prompts lead the way.

My heart lurched with the banana query. I consume tons. Possibly literally at this point. I like learning about people via these: I’m a deontologist too, though up until now, I didn’t know the name.

I don’t either. Melanie is educating us. Thanks ‘Em.

A wonderful post, Sadje. I agree with all of your thinking, and, I, for the record, am one that would go bananas if bananas were illegal. 😅 🍌Oh, the pics are lovely too.
