I hit the big number: 5000 πŸ’–

Though I feel the stats aren’t that accurate or that important but let’s be honest here. It gives a kick to read the number; 5004

And four days back I got this message from WordPress;

I want to thank all those ( real people) who follow my blog, read my posts and sometimes comment on them. It is because of the encouragement that I receive from my blogging family that I write every day. You guys are awesome and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart and the top of my happy spirits.

  1. Golly gee whiz! I remember when I hit 5,000, 100,000 and then, one day, I realized I was going to hit a million — and I did. That was when I stopped counting. Congratulations! This is the first BIG number, but you’ll get bigger ones and each will be a thrill for you. Keep up the great work!!

    1. Thanks Mehreen. Welcome to our world. The best way to gain followers is to interact with the blogging community. Visit the blogs you follow, read and comment on their posts. This will encourage them to visit your blog. Asking people to follow your blog doesn’t works but showing them with good content works. All the best.

  5. Twelve hundred posts in a row!!! That’s amazing, Sadje. I have no idea how you do it. If I do five in a row, I’m exhausted. And you put so much mental energy into it. And you add delightful comments. You deserve everyone one of the 5,000. Just be glad they don’t all write to you on the same day, or worse, every day! You’d still be answering for days! πŸ™‚ Lots of love, my friend.

    1. Haha! I’ve imagined that possibility and it is a frightening thought as I feel that I must reply to all the comments on my blog. I think that since I don’t have a job, and few responsibilities, I can find time for all that my blog entitles. Thanks a lot

      1. OUt of curiosity, do you have any idea how many comments you reply to each day? It must be hundreds. I know how many likes and how many comments I have and it takes me at least two or more hours on a day I post to answer all the comments and I’ve only had 147 comments since Friday. LOL Of course, that doesn’t include visiting other blogs and writing comments on their blogs, which I know you do as well. πŸ™‚ Anyway, I’m a super fan of yours.

        1. I’ve absolutely no idea! I just keep on checking and replying to the comment that people make. If one has other things to do, this becomes tedious. I don’t so I occupy myself with my blog.

          1. My husband sometimes gets tired of me sitting at the computer, and I do have to move around to make sure my blood keeps running! LOL. When I was writing a lot, I didn’t have time to write and blog, so blogging slid, but I actually enjoy blogging more, so I gave up on my novel writing. I may eventually go back to it, but for now, I love the interactions of blogging. And I love being social in real life. So I’m a total butterfly.

              1. I’m very blessed, Sadje. He’s out of town working for a few days, so besides cleaning, shopping, and getting ready for out of town guests, I’m on my own schedule to blog. It’s like a mini-vacay!
