We all need a hug now and then Make us feel like we belong Like someone cares about our feelings It’s a connection that cannot be articulated When we embrace someone, we convey so much more Than simple words can ever do.
I am writing to express my opinion, share my experiences and to maybe provide some insight. My blog is addressing women at 50 ( but men are welcome to read my posts) ,their issues and the questions that come up at this stage in life. I don’t aim to teach, but to learn together.

I read somewhere that a woman needs eight hugs a day just for maintenance. Now don’t quote me, I may very well be wrong about the number needed but it makes sense to me. I like hugs. I like giving them and receiving them. A one size fits all comforting action that heals the soul. Yet, we have to be careful, some people do not appreciated being hugged. I like to ask first.

A great poem of wisdom and truth! We continued to hug our family members even through covid, with no adverse effects.

I think your number is correct because getting a hug makes out day better. But yes, some people don’t want to be hugged. Better ask first. 🤗
