Moms on giving advice!

When your mother asks, ‘Do you want a piece of advice?’ it is a mere formality. It doesn’t matter if you answer yes or no. You’re going to get it anyway.”
—Erma Bombeck

I am that mom! 😜

( On Wednesdays and Saturdays, there will be an extra post, in response to Linda’s prompts)

On that note, I’m sharing my JusJoJan badge!

  1. I used to be that mom! Now that my children are grown with families of their own, I tend to ask – “Do you want to know what I think?” They almost always says yes. There are still occasions when I am concerned enough to tell them my concerns unsolicited. I am fortunate to have such a great relationship with my children.

    1. That’s so nice Maggie. I do try to keep my mouth shut, specially in case of my son and daughter in law. With my daughters, I do sometimes blurt out a piece of unsolicited advice!

  3. Oh my, you’ve brought back a wonderful memory! My family used to read Erma’s column in the newspaper all the time (eons ago now)! 🙂 And the saying is true–mere “formality”!
